The design process

The next step, actually design the shoe. Oh joy.

"What" I thought to myself "Shall I do? I can't make duct tape boots (something I've been meaning to do). I can't make hob nail boots (I don't even know where to start, nor do I wish to walk like Frankenstein). AH! I'll use my sewing machine and make cloth boots, that will be fun and easy!"

WRONG! It was hard, and stressful. Not to mention a pain in the.......Well, you know.

Anyway, the main part was getting the design. I considered making the run of the mill Reebok style sneaker. However, upon closer inspection they used quite a bit of rubber. Not to mention they are usually made out of leather. But then it hit me, THE CONVERSE! Traditionally a basketball shoe, simple, sleek, and pretty cool looking overall.

The design is so simple. A tounge and two side panels. Seven gromits on each side. Made of muslin and rubber. So simple, yet amazingly effective, comfortable and durable. A PERFECT DESIGN!

And now, how I did it and how you can own your own Proverse All Dwarf.
