The Baker's House and some scenes from the show


        
The Baker's house ("The spell is on my house!") was built first and rebuilt several times until it was strong enough to be moved without wheels. With a working door that had to collapse in Act II and a breakaway chimney it had to be strong. The oven grating is from Les Miserables. The bricks (wooden) that fell in Act II fooled even the director's trained eye, ("I'm worried about the bricks hurting someone..."); the breakaway roof, made to fall six inches, was never used.
 


 
 In this shot the witch is dancing, I think it's "Last Midnight."  The slow shutter on the camera gave us this effect. Look closely, you can see the witch's face. One tree is out of place.
